In the 1950’s John Solomon started playing Croquet while still at school. Within a short time he had become the World’s best player. He became world champion for several decades until he was well into his fifties and continued playing the game socially well into retirement. Jaques' Solomon Mallet was designed by John Solomon himself and has been expertly crafted by Jaques' Master Craftsmen ever since.

The mallet features a Lignum Vitae head fitted with solid brass rings to provide protection and help control long shots. The head is further fitted with scored faces to aid roll and stop-shots. The handle is made from Hickory and has a wind-on competition grip and additional Roller grip close to the head for roll shots.
