Each Chess set  piece is heavily weighted and cushioned with rich English leather in the original Jaques Staunton chess set tradition. The white King is marked “Jaques London” and the King’s Rook Chess Piece and King’s Knight Chess Piece bear the mark of a crown on their summits. The visual impact of each Staunton chess piece is striking, combining both robustness and grace. From the graceful angular Bishop’s headpiece with its distinctive wide open cut, to the exquisite hand-crafted two-piece Knight taken straight from the visages of those magnificent steeds, this is one of Jaques Staunton Chess' finest creations.
