Garden Games began with Croquet. Giant garden games did not start until much later. John Jaques the II ( second generation Jaques of London and Garden games grandfather) won a place in garden games history and a Gold Medal for introducing Croquet ( the worlds greatest garden game) into England at the Great Exhibition in 1851. Garden Games from Jaques have become very popluar with some Garden games like early skittles and garden games design now being played in garden games leagues all around the country. Jaques Garden Skittles and other garden games are also very popular. The Fireman, Sailor, Royal Guards and Policeman skittles are now very much a household item in many English homes and indeed homes all around the world. Jaques English garden Skittles are now very succesful too. The Jaques Traditonal handmade garden game of Quoits is also now very popular. Jaques Quoits now sell in tens of thousands each year. Despite this, each garden games set is still handmade and quality checked in the UK. More recent introductions to the Giant garden games range have included Tumble Tower, a great garden game to be played by all the family. Clock Golf, Garden Quoits, Bounceback Trainers and other garden games like Rebound Tennis, Boule and Snakes and Ladders for the garden and backyard are also all great family games that are just as much fun when played indoors and out.
