The Famous Chess Set Owned by Ingmar Bergman has been sold at auction

The chess Set was famously used in the Bergman's 1957 movie The Seventh Seal and is believed to be one of the most viewed movie sets.

This Special chess set sold at auction for 1 million Swedish crowns.

Unbelievabley the Chess set was brought for more than 50 times the auction guide price for a set like this.

The auction house handling the sale said over 300 items belonging to Ingmar  Bergman were auctioned in Sweden for a total of 18 million crowns. This was more than ten times the starting price expected for the sale.
