Getting started: Find out how to start playing Ping-Pong today!
A player's choice of bat is a highly personal one with different surfaces and methods of construction providing various levels of spin or speed and grip. Jaques offer a wide range of bat all of which conform to international standards and which are suitable for all levels of play. The competition profile models feature the latest technology, lightweight blades fitted with pure caoutchouc natural sandwich for optimum impact, speed and grip control. This rubber is of course fully ITTF approved for top international competition play, and the feel and the balance of the bats in play is outstanding.
Complimenting the range are three mid-priced club bats, also featuring good quality branded rubbers, again with excellent feel; and finally three practice or leisure bats of good quality, all fitted with sandwich rubbers at exceptional prices.

International rules specify that the game is played with a light 2.7 gram, 40 mm diameter ball. All Jaques' Ping-Pong balls conform to these specifications and available in the range are the Jaques 1 star ball, which is ideal for practice and recreational play, and the top-rated 3 star ball for competitive and tournament play.

Rules state that nets used in Ping-Pong must be 6 inches high, spanning the entire width of the table, stretching 6 inches past the table edge at each side.
All of Jaques’ Ping-Pong tables include a net and posts but Jaques also offer a range of nets for purchase individually including a deluxe tough competition model, which is ideal for tournament play.

Ping-Pong is so versatile it can be played virtually anywhere there is room to set up a table, either inside or outside. Many people who own Ping-Pong tables at homes buy folding tables for easy storage and use garage, loft or basement space to play. Playing areas should be well lit where possible and adequate space around the table to move is essential.
If space is an issue, however, or you are looking for new competition or access to competitive play there are a wealth of clubs throughout the country that will offer you the space and facilities you need to start playing straight away and against players of all levels.
