Dominoes are the small tiles traditionally carved from bone or ivory and featuring small round pips of inset ivory that collectively make up a domino set. The oldest known domino sets date back to c.1120 A.D. in China and it is thought that they were introduced to the China from India before that. It wasn't until the 18th Century, however, that dominoes appeared in Europe where, over time, the game was adapted into the form that we know today.

Standard domino sets today include 28 pieces, each of which consists of a line dividing it in to two squares and a number of spots (or 'pips') in each square end. Standard domino sets have ends ranging from zero to six spots. Dominoes are rather generic gaming devices, like playing cards. Many different games can be played with a set of Dominoes.

Giant Garden Dominoes

Outdoor garden Dominoes are available in two varieties. Jaques Giant Garden dominoes feature a set of large 7" pieces that are ideal for garden or patio gaming. Also available is a new 'giant tower' version of this ever-popular game, Jaques' Giant Dominoes include beautifully made 12cm wooden dominoes and a tower that builds up to 380mm high. The object of the game is to build the tower in turn and the first player to use up all of their dominoes is the winner. A great family game for all ages.
